Yucky, nasty and gross are the latest additions to Tessa's ever-expanding vocabulary. We use it when we try to tell her not to pick her nose or eat stuff off the floor, or if we just don't want her to touch something (like wet paint). The problem is that she will say "That's yucky. That's gross" and then STILL eat something off the floor.
Her vocabulary is just amazing. Now, every time she hears an airplane she say "Airplane! Do you hear it? Do you see it?" She also is trying to say Helicopter, but it pretty much gets butchered when it comes out.

Snow in Atlanta
It only lasted a day, but it sure was a beautiful sight.
We went for a walk through our neighborhood and Gretchen (our cat) walked the ENTIRE way with us and no, she was not on a leash. Tessa didn't want to sit in the stroller, so I tried putting Gretchen in there thinking her poor little paws were getting cold, but she just wanted to walk along with us. It was pretty funny.

Butcher
I guess it was bound to happen at some point. I had Tessa's hair cut yesterday and they totally Butchered it. She looks like Prince Valiant. They just cut her bangs straight across, no layering, or pieces or feathering, just a straight chop. It's not even level, it looks like one side is higher than the other. My poor little bug. Now I HAVE to put her hair in one of those dopey little pony tails on top so she looks normal. It looked cute with a little clip, but she never keeps those in. And the little pony tail to the side was cute, but it's almost too short to do that.
Uuuuugggggghhhhhhh, why did I listen to Mike and Omi complaining about her bangs in her face. I should have just let them grow out and be done with it. Hopefully, she will get the bad hair cuts out of the way now while SHE doesn't care what her hair looks like.
One of the teachers in her day-care said that she used to cut hair and would take a look at it, but I'm not sure what can be done to salvage it. I'll pay for the more expensive kids place next time.

Go Jackets!
I'm teaching a class at Georgia Tech tonight and am a litle nervous. I teach internal training classes all the time with no problem, but for some reason this class has me nervous. I'll be teaching them about Concrete as it relates to Commercial Construction. Should be fun. Wish me luck.

Smarty Pants
Tessa knows all the kids in her class names. She will also identify each parent by the child (even if the child is not with parents, she'll recognize them and say "Alex" or "Lilly". But the really amazing thing is that she also knows everyone's jackets and when she see's one of the parents walk in she will run up to the coats and grab the correct one for each child. Her little mind is so amazing.
She will also count now, although for some reason she starts with 3, then will say 4 5 6 7 skip 8, sometimes she says 9 and then yells 10! Sometimes if I say 1, she'll say 2, but she really doesn't start with 1 yet. Mommy is very proud of her little bug.
